Comentando: Internet Explorer en Linux??
hola, dando vueltas por la red, mientras estudiaba como manejar cuotas de disco (que ya se vera en otro tema), me encontre con algo que crei imposible hasta que nuevamente volvio en mi la Fé por mi Ubuntu, jejeje (y todos los desarrolladores a nivel mundial tb).
he encontrado una herramienta que permite la instalacion de internet explorer en linux, seep, efectivamente nos permite instalar Iexplorer en nuestra distro de linux. Esto trae consigo muchas ventajas:
- no tendremos que salir a windows para poder ver aquellas malditas webs que solo se ven bien con Iexplorer.
- al que le guste Iexplorer podra usarlo desde linux (habiendo Opera y Firefox, pero si aun estas apegado a la "E azul" te puede interesar.
- te gusta Windows Live Messenger?? teniendo instalado Iexplorer podras instalar windows live msn (lo estoy probando ahora, despues comentare mas)
- si eres desarrollador de aplicaciones web, o un webmaster entusiasta, podras trabajar desde linux y probar como se ve tu web desde distintos navegadores sin tener que salir a un entorno de "wintendo".
muy bien, la herramienta se llama Ie4Linux, y si pinchan acceden al sitio oficial en español donde podran echar un vistaso.
ahora viene lo interesante y lo esperado (por uno que otro...) la instalacion,y vamos con ello:
para poder instalarlo debes tener 2 apps ya instaladas en tu sistema, que son Wine y Cabextract, supongo que sabes hacerlo, sino vasta con que desde el terminal escribas:
sudo apt-get install wine
sudo apt-get install cabextract
y listo, ya tenemos los pre-requisitos listos, ahora si vamos derecho a instalar los paquetes de ie4linux, y para lo cual solo hay que seguir estos pocos comandos:
$ wget http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/downloads/ies4linux-latest.tar.gz
$ tar zxvf ies4linux-latest.tar.gz
$ cd ies4linux-*
$ ./ies4linux
y muy bien señores con el ultimo comando se nos abre una ventana grafica que nos permite seleccionar que iexplorer queremos instalar, inclusive instalar hasta adobe flash9, podemos ir a avanzadas y seleccionar internet explorer 7, asi tendremos el 6, que funciona bastante estable, y el 7 para probar las ultimas cosas de windows y entrar a esos sitios que solo funcionan con Iexplorer.
espero que les sea util, yo ya lo probe, y lo encontre bastante interesante.
